STORY:
Grace Grangetown was planted in early 2018 by a small group of believers who had a passion to share Jesus with Grangetown and beyond. Years before, Owen and Charlotte Cottom had felt stirred by the need for more healthy, vibrant churches in the South of Cardiff. They stepped out in faith with a group of friends, moving into the area and establishing a new church that exists to enjoy God, embody His grace and extend good news in this diverse corner of Cardiff. Grace Grangetown began life in The Hub community centre, before moving to our current home for Sundays in Channel View Leisure Centre. We have grown in number, in age-range and in variety of backgrounds over the past years and now exist as a welcoming and diverse family of faith.
SUNDAYS:
We gather every Sunday morning in Channel View Leisure Centre (Jim Driscoll Way, CF11 7HB) at 10.30am (10.15 for refreshments). We sing songs of faith, hear a relevant message from the Bible, offer prayer and have groups for children.
GRACE COMMUNITIES:
We gather in the middle of the week in homes to build friendships and grow in faith together as a church community. We eat together, share life and discover more of the relevance of Jesus through studying the bible. To join and find out when and where our Grace Communities meet, visit our Church Calendar.
GRACE TOTS, KIDS & YOUTH:
We really value investing in the next generation and have started age-specific groups for the young. We hope these can be places where children, young people and families can discover and be transformed by God’s grace in relevant and warm community. Find out more here.
Grace in the neighbourhood:
We seek to live out the good news of Jesus in the wider community of Grangetown. We seek to create accessible contexts for people to explore faith (such as Alpha), to do good to our neighbours through community initiatives (such as Make Lunch) and to serve the needy through street outreach (such as To Grangetown with Love).
